According to the flow direction of metal plastic, extrusion can be divided into the following categories:

Reverse extrusion: during production, the metal flow direction is opposite to that of the punch

Compound extrusion: during production, one part of the blank metal flows in the same direction as the punch, while the other part flows in the opposite direction

Radial extrusion: during production, the direction of metal flow is 90 degrees from the direction of punch motion
